Travel Clinic

Our Travel Clinics provide information about the medical aspects of foreign travel that you need to consider before travelling to your destination and in particular, which immunisations you should consider so that you are adequately protected. You will also be given advice on disease prevention. You will be asked to complete a ‘Travel Risk Assessment Form’ before you see one of our Travel Nurses ( see below ).

IMPORTANT – many vaccinations, especially those for ‘exotic’ destinations take several weeks for the course of vaccinations to be completed and you should be aware that there is generally a ‘time lag’ between administration and full effectiveness. For this reason, you should ideally book an appointment 6 – 8 weeks before you are due to travel. (It may be possible to vaccinate you with less time prior to travel – but you may not have full protection).

We are also a Nationally Accredited Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.

Some vaccines are free but others incur a cost, the Travel Nurse will advise you about which vaccines are not available free on the NHS and how much they will cost. Fees may be paid by: Cash, Credit/Debit Card covering the full cost.
